Help!
Hexacopter looses power after 30 sec. take off.

Hello,

I have a problem here, with an hexacopter after taking off(30 seconds), the voltage drops(around 14.8V) dramatically and it looses power forcing me to land.

After that, the batteries are almost full.

I used ecalc for checking the selection of the components and it justs says: For minimal maneuverability you need Throttle of less than 80%.

But has a flight time of 6.8 min.

This are the components that I used:
- Type, Hexa
- Batteries, 5200Ma 35c 4S2P
- ESC, 40A, 60A max.
- Prorps, 14-8
- Motors, T-motor NM4014(400Kv)
- Total weight, around 7Kg

As a FC I use the Naza, with the protection switch off.

At this point I have no clue why is behaving like that, I would really appreciate any idea.

Thanks.

Did you measure how much amps you are pulling? 7kg is a lot.

Amp pull will be massive on 4 cells with those motors. Bump to 6 or 8 cells and you will see good flight times along with the ability to lower gains for better FC control. . Running voltage on the lower end will always have horrible performance. Voltage is HP in the multi world.

Skycam4 actually that makes sense I'm wondering why the Ecalc
didn't adviced anything about.

I'll go for higher volt. batteries, probably 6S

"For minimal maneuverability you need Throttle of less than 80%. " was an indication that you would need 80% or more throttle just to hover. That was the warning.
