Hobby People Super Cub Micro - Front Yard Flyer RTF 2.4GHz

This morning I received the email with the Hobby People Super Cub Micro - Front Yard Flyer RTF 2.4GHz. This is the first I've heard of this plane. It's tiny and looks like a lot of fun for $59.99.

From the Hobby People website:

Now You Can Truly Fly in Your Front Yard!

This is a Hobby People Micro Super Cub Ready-to-Fly Front Yard Flyer w/2.4GHz Radio. Fly anywhere there’s low to no-wind conditions. This 2.4GHz-controlled Micro-sized Super Cub gets you flying anywhere, anytime. The Super Cub is factory-built and ready to fly. Just install 4 ‘AA’ batteries, charge the LiPo flight battery and you’re ready to fly! The rudder and elevator are controlled by proportional magnetic actuators, and the micro-geared motor system provides plenty of power for a great flying Cub you’ll want to fly again and again.

Features:

• Great Flight Characteristics in a Small Package

• Quality Construction and Components

• Micro Gear-Drive Power System with 3.2 x 2.8 Propeller

• Proportional Magnetic Actuators Control the Elevator and Rudder

• 2.4GHz 3-Channel Transmitter w/Built-In LiPo Battery Charger & Adjustable Trims

• Completely Factory-Built and Ready-to-Fly - Just Add Transmitter Batteries

Specifications:

• Wingspan: 13.7 Inches (348mm)

• Wing Area: 29.1 Square Inches (1.88sq.dm.)

• Length: 9.3 Inches (236mm)

• Weight: 0.42 Ounces (12g)

What's Included:

• Assembled Micro Super Cub

• 3-Channel 2.4GHz Transmitter

• 1S 3.7V 35mAh LiPo Battery

• Replacement Propeller

• User's Guide

Items Required, But Not Included:

• 4 'AA' Alkaline Batteries for Transmitter

I was looking at the user's guide, and I was horrified when I saw that the elevator control is shown backwards! It shows that you push the stick up to go up, and down to go down. Those of us with experience can laugh at the error, but a beginner is going to have some very bad first flights. I've made Hobby People aware of this.

same plane and tiger moth using the same gear but 14 gramms is available at conread in germany for 40 eu under their reely brand. i tested it in their store, its nice and a good flyer after a bit of trimming. stiil a bit overpriced since its tecnically not really new. u still get a mini vapor at conrad for 60eu, and its way more sophisticated.... anyway ordered the moth a week ago just nned to pick up at the store... the possibilities of a 3ch under 10 gramms in 2.4 where just to tempting

Hobby People has these on sale today only for $49.99. If I didn't have a dining room table full of bombers and two biplane gliders on the way, I'd snap one up.
