Lol... Jiri doesn't know me well enough to know that when I give him a hook position.... That's THE most aft usable position.

I thought that you never reached a rearward position?

Thanks for answering the RDS bend question, I saw those straight rods and wondered what was up.

Daryl, the ATX 809 servo can travel 160 degrees. Knowing you, you are not going to limit it to just the typical 90-100 degrees total are you .

If it was me I would use as much as the TX/RX combo would allow and perhaps bend the flap rds rods 45 degrees, middle ail 25-30, tip ail 20-25.
I posted a simple RDS excel calc here for some ideas.

The only negative thing then is to dial in the speed of the TE deployment so the whole TE travels up/down at same speed ( if you want to get that anal-ick-tickle).

With just a 45 bend, at 15 degrees of flap (for launch) you can go up the line at least 85mph and be well within the servos dynamic torque specs. I say at least because I know the chord of Vixen's flaps is not as big as what I am used to. What is the AR on that thing 20+?
And thanks for taking the time to do a build log on a pre-production model. Takes confidence in the builder and manufacturer to do such as you will be exposed to much scrutiny! But, that is one of the best ways to advance quickly. I really appreciate it! Thank you!

OK, DP... Let me be the one to ask the really DUMB question... With 6 servos in the wing, are there 4 flaps or 4 ailerons?

Jack... AKA Darth Seriously Interested...

Actually, Jack. There are 4 ailerons and 4 flaps.... The inboard ailerons work as both. I'll try to post a video of my trailing edge set up in all the flight modes. But my entire trailing edge is always working.

Won't an aileron suffer an identity crisis if it doesn't know whether it's an aileron or a flap?

OK, That's what I was thinking... Thanks...

Not sold on RDS but it appears that's the direction everything is headed.
