feeding the trolls
ya, I looked at his posts as well... I hate feeding the trolls,
but I have built a bunch of davereap's ideas. I still fly my 48" SU27, it looks great in the air! Later, Gundy Quote:

thanks Gundy..
check these out for great flyers Nutball.. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=836389 Superfly clone... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...=592883&page=3 post 44 on youve probably seen them but dont miss out on the nutball... ive built mine from depron at 32" span and its a must have.. With all my designs the idea is simplicity and ease of build...fun scale, not real scale... you can adjust the shape to get as close to the real thing as you like...and add in as much as you like to get the realism..If you want scale models there are some great builders out there and the plans are available. try here.. http://www.parkjets.com/free-plans.html I like quick and simple builds that look sorta like the real thing. check out my vulcan http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=595706 to me it looks ok...and it builds easy and flys a treat from non aeromodellers the comment is usually...is that an army plane then? can I have a go?..etc..

Here are some revised plans/drawings using the google sketchup program
these are for the SU version please note that whatever size you build the lower fuz depth should be made to suit your electrics and battery, dont scale it!..Ive found 1.5 inches to be good..and keep it flat then the lower cross braces will fit ok ive also included the skp.zip so you can load it and modify for yourself . |
