You should be able to order it from any hobby store.

My local has one roll but I'm certain he could get you more if you need it.

Thanks Al. Ordering from hobby stores generally means a 6 month wait though.

Fair enough.
I'm 99% certain Hobbyland has 1 roll of white/ beige.
I seem to recall Frontline Hobbies having a couple of rolls last time I was up there but that was a few months ago now.

This company is the importer Wholesale only but perhaps they could direct you to your nearest stockist of the particular product.
Good luck

Get ready for a sticker shock. Last roll I bought was 7 or so years ago, and it was approaching $50 a roll. Nearly fell over while I justified the expense as all part of helping the aussie battler RC store. The shop is no longer there... I don't buy Solartex any more.

I'm more of a composites person but my dad was devoted balsa basher. After sampling all that was out there, he used nothing but SIG Koverall

But it's probably around AUD$50 for 5 yards by the time it's at your door

Hobbyland Hornsby hasa 1 roll of "Neutral" Solartex in stock.as of today. I'm sure they'd ship it if you called them.

It's about $42 though so Sub is right, Seems like you need a tube of vasolene with every roll.Twice the price of Solarfilm.

I have only used Solartext a few times ages ago. Nice and heavy and durable, probably great for a slimmer or something you want texture.
Solarfilm is quite light and fragile (for sloping anyway)
I found Profilm to be the best compromise for foamies were extra weight was OK and the benefit of durability and slick finish was great. I found it heaps easier to iron on and never managed to burn though it like I have with Solarfilm. I think I was paying about $25 a roll, extra for fluro colours.

It funny how we think its expensive as a mate of mine is thinking of using Oratex http://www.betteraircraftfabric.com/ on his full size glider as no paint is needed and it works out about the same price as using any of the other options. Also a lot quicker to apply.

I have a cub covered in profilm Oracover that is still going strong after 10+ years.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try a couple of those stores. I'm aware of the price but want to give it a try on a scale model. I've used Sig Koverall and quite like it, but this stuff is supposed to be the best for the old birds.

Whilst I have used Solartex years ago, my favourite was always Solarspan. Never had it come loose on models that were many years old.
Now I use the Hobby King films. So far I am very happy with it. I have covered 3 models.
