Was at my LHS last Friday and they were still being told their first four DX8 radios would be in the following week (this week)....wonder if the first batch for hobby shops is still coming in this week and the delay was for the additional stock, or are al DX8 radios delayed?

I believe that and I think that is the date that the stock for an order placed now will show up and is not automatically the date that all radios will show up....

Andy, some comments on a few thing with improvement potential:

-The SD card connector and charge plug "hole".
Some sort of covering plugs to stop dirt and dust from getting in there would be nice. Maybe the same kind of rubber plugs/covers that are on all digital cameras, mobile phones etc.

Would already like to put in some suggestions for the first or some upcoming firmware update. (Which I suspect you are working on now)
- Full telemetry support for dual packs, and maybe even a third.
If you could monitor both your Rx packs and ignition pack it would be very nice. (this would be appriciated by thousands of users that are flying gas planes)
- Enabling assigning of channels in the different wing types.
(even if the radio is smart when assigning its always conveinient to be able to choose)
- At least 5 point curves on all or at least some of the P-mixes.
(The 8FG has 5 x free 5point mixes. We cannot let them have that advantage now can we...)

Thank you for the comments, Patrick. If you are concerned, keeping an SD card in the radio will prevent ingress of dirt and will not affect operation. Because of the location of the holes, putting a rubber plug on them is uncomfortable on the hands. When you are flying, these holes are covered by the palm of your hand. The SD card is fully recessed and does not touch you.

For the code, you are describing the DX10t pretty well.

I saw your posting on Flying Giants. I'm glad you're happy with what you have learned so far. I think you will be happier once you own one.

Is programming for differential thrust possible with the DX8?

I'd like to build a two motor water plane that uses differential thrust for water steering. This is impossible with the DX6i because the throttle channel cannot be set as slave in the mixes.

Nope! But the old Tx has a very good feel to it, the case is aluminum and it resembles some well made vintage test gear! It still has a unique smell that gives me flashbacks. (To a time when some young immature punk was abusing anything he was operating with that old Tx)

There is no limitation on the mixing of the throttle. You can mix rudder and throttle together to get differential thrust, no problem.

Are you a dragon? (Monty Python reference)

The modulation LED is orange. The charge LED is blue. The backlight LED is white. The LCD is black and white. Hopefully that answers what you were asking (I'm not sure of the question).

What caused you to ask that?

Hi Andy
What did I ask That was dragonlike? I was asking the color of the screen(display) on the DX8, I have seen pictures of both blue and orange.
