This place is great to fly at, it has covered pit area with great shade from about 10am ish to dusk, 10+ built in tables with benches "with shade". Very large black top runway super smooth and easy to take off from . and to the left of the pit area there is an equily smooth runway the length of two basketball courts for those longer take offs and landings. there is a nice grassy field for those unsure maidens the grass is surprisingly forgiving for those not so perfect tosses . the gate entrance is for driving in and unloading your gear and parking is directly in-front of the walk in entrance. one of the little benefits of this place is its a school that has a small play ground for the young ones "at least until there old enough to fly " it is surrounded by a rubberish cork that helps fight scraped knees.

That is awesome. Glad you got a place like this. We may make it out Sunday to say hi and fly and report back to the fieldless Renegades about your site.

you are welcome to come check us out , fly see if you like it, if you decide to become a regular member then we would ask you to fill out the membership sheet, and pay the 20 for the year, it covers our ama ins. for the club, you also would need to have your own ama card, not right away but again if you decide to come out and fly all the time ama is required , for guests like yourself your welcome to come try it before you buy it

I already have an fpv plane, but I want to learn more . I finally made the step up to cloverleaf antennas on my 5.8ghz set after two years, and I'm mad at myself for not doing it sooner. I would like to save up for a new radio, and possibly an antenna tracker in the future. Just dreaming

Cool 5 Tuff,
If you wanna learn from a guy who has lots of experience to share , then you must get with Quadcopter007. His name is Ryan and he is the most experienced FPV pilot in our club. You also can join our non AMA internet club for free here
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1253931
And there are about a doz. members getting into Multi Rotors . About 5 or 6 of them are also learning FPV.
We fly at a non AMA field off Rubidoux Exit off the 60 by the Santa Anna River

i kinda want to start a thread about the sketchers field for doing distance fpv or general flying with out having to fly over populated areas, i really dont mind flying a few miles over a city, but for new fpv pilots who want to get some distance runs under their belt that is the place to go. it gives you a 4 mile x 6mile dirt field to fly over with a road that runs along side it so if you do have to make an unplanned landing you can simply go get your stuff , with out causing damage to person or property, The Horse Track Field is cool but you are kinda like a fish in a fish bowl ... for los and tri copters/multirotors its great but i just like the comfort of having the empty field to fly over once you get to about 1.9 miles away at about 800 ft agl you can also fly along side perris lake

I'll be out there sunday! can you please update the gps coordinates so they point to where the tarmac is? or wherever it is that you fly
I'm kind of challenged when it comes to directions...

(just go on google maps and click on the location and it should display coordinates)
