It's good you found the problem, but strange that even a new servo wouldn't fix the issue. Unless your pushrod was binding in the tube?

Now you need to try it with the brushless upgrade!

I'm still confused about what the centering problem was. There wasn't any resistance when I pulled out the pushrod.

Maybe too much slop and flex in the line? Mine was kind of like that until I secured the pushrod to the rudder with a zip tie and used a little hotglue to keep the tube from flexing aft of where it exited at the rear end.

Too late to try that now, I'll have to wait until I lose this one first!

Good to see you didnt give up, its far from a perfect plane, but its heaps of fun, especially in a bit of wind. Hard to break, easy to fix.
I had a few issues with my pushrods as well. The start of the tubes under the wings need to be glued to a small block of foam , otherwise the tube & rod just bend & flex.

Glad to hear that you have her sorted now. I would consider adding a carbon strip under the boom as your servo mod might have weakened that area. Next step, ailerons followed by a motor upgrade

Talking about ailerons and brushless motor upgrades, I thought I better post a video shot this morning. It's a combination of 2 flights shot with my #16 Keycam mounted on my baseball hat and just taped onto the canopy. Lots of close in flying showing how agile the model is with the mods with the occasional goal scored/crash thrown in for good measure
Motor used was this 3500kv unit on a 2S 450 pack and 5x3 GWS prop http://www.giantshark.co.uk/m202025-...-p-407726.html.
I'm waiting for an answer from Giantshark re possible 3S prop but I'd guess that a 4x3 or 4x4 might be suitable
.
Atom glider from HobbyKing scoring goals (5 min 25 sec)

It doesn't seem like the mod weakened the boom. The carbon rod already in it seems to be enough.

Has anyone taken the motor out of an Atom and used THE ATOM as a glider?

Mine doesn't seem to want to glide much, I don't think it's really up to that style ofd flying.

Might work as a slope soarer in low winds, I thought about it. But figured I'd get a Limit, shame there isn't a foam kit.
