Hmmm....if the forecast is good you might see a G Class grace your skies! Anywhere for a campervan to park up David?

I am sure we can accommodate you and your van Mike
There is plenty of room at Carr Mill and it is gated access

Would love to see the G class and the Sunderland up together

Ok
Just a week to go..
It's ALL down to the weather

We have put a tremendous effort into our "first Annual Splash-in" Event.

You can fly Electric...
You can fly I.C. (Subject to noise testing)
Spectators get Free entry..
Pilots just 7.50 on the day!
There will be Bacon Buttys in the morning..
There will be Hot Pot and Red Cabbage in the afternoon
Flying starts at 9
There will be a "Mass Beaver Fly"... How many Ripmax st/ Dynam Beavers can we get off the water at once?
Models big, small, fast, and slow
We even have a 35mhz pegboard

Unfortunately real life has caught up with me and I can't make it, but I would like to have a visit some time later on. I'll keep in touch - have a great weekend,

Mike

So sorry you can't make it.. But the fact you are out so late the night before at the concert.. And the long haul "oop North"... It's just too much!

We will get our "Shorts" flying boats together.....

It will happen!

See you soon

Wish you all a good first Annual Splash-in event.

It looks like tomorrow's rain has been postponed till Monday!

Looking forward to a-pond-full-of-beavers picture.

This was the first annual event and at one point over 40 planes where out on the grass, in the pits, in the car park, everywhere, and at least another 20 in cars, on the water, in the air. A massive amount of different models from scratch built foamies to the massive Sunderland and helis. Electric and ic, pilots and spectators from all over the country. Very mixed ability, but all where friendly and helpful, with spares, tools, fuel, batteries all being passed around

The facility was nothing short of superb. The club is affiliated to Lancashire Power boat club, and on the day had the use of a rescue boat (and not just some leaky old dinghy!) Two jetties, one for ic, one for electric, a slipway, clubhouse, toilets and a superb range of catering.

At 4.00pm the event ended, and nobody was in a rush to go home, cant wait for the next one, please don't keep us waiting for a full year

Some great photos there Ian. Thanks for sharing..
We were so busy enjoying our selfs we took hardly any photos
Glad you enjoyed your visit
As a result of the splash-in we are trialling I.C. Powered models at the lake which should have a great effect on the future of WetWings mfc
I have converted my 72" cub to IC and fitted a 70 surpass in place of the electric

Thanks
David
