Okay well I got as far as seeing that I will be using a 10G Outrunner, Orange Spectrum RX, and a Rhino 2s 360 mah battery. I want to add ailerons as well. I just need some suggestions on servos. This is my first build so I apologize for the newbness!
What about three of these: http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...?idProduct=663 What about a good cheap ESC? |

Indy,
I think these 5g servos are ok. About the esc, I use this one and is working very well in my Zero. http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id...1&pid=B2171402 Nelson Quote:

Dogfighting is a blast. Trying to fly two of these in close proximity on high speed is very risky at times. I only flew these with another micro warbird once. We almost flew into one another at one point. The problem afterwards is figuring out which of the two black dots is yours and determining how it is flying. ![]() I suggest you look for a smaller servo. I suggest these: http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...idproduct=5459 or these http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...idProduct=5458 Robert |

Simple and clear canopy (well-known method)
Hello everyone,
Excuse my catastrophic English (thank you google translation) I look at this forum since long (1.2 and 3) very nice on these small planes cox beautiful. Thanks Rotatorus: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=2225 and http://www.modelisme.com/forum/aero-...-pas-cher.html In my turn I make a contribution to making simple and inexpensive with a canopy. Ingredient 1 electric oven 1 shoe box 1 roll of Scotch Industrial 1 old wooden frame 4 screws 1 vacuum cleaner Rhodoid sheets 200 micron exemple: http://www.travaux-manuels.fr/produi...ype=9&id=00014 Recipe Preheat the oven to 180 - 200 ° C Attach A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) on the wooden frame with drawing pins (or other) Prepare the oven near the shoe box with a vacuum cleaner and nozzle. Place the canopy original mold on an elevated rack. Place the frame and the sheet in the oven for about 30 seconds Turn on the vacuum Out quickly and apply on the shoe box. (attention to the shoe box gets tired very quickly) Let stand for 1 minute. The result guaranteed perfect. This method can be used to refit an engine hood, an air intake or radiator ect ... Good tests and good flights at all. See you soon. |

Hi FXB,
Thanks for your contribution. I think it is very usefull. I'll give it a try soon. I like your source for transparant sheets. I think I'll order a new batch of plastc sheeting from them. Your canopy came out very nice and fits the FW-190 perfectly. The canopy on my FW-190 was also vacuum formed over the original. I however got that one from a fellow builder out of one of the former threads. I didn't do that one myself. Robert |
