Best replacement motors (better than stock by far):
http://micro-motor-warehouse.com/

Good replacement props: Walkera LB or Hubsan X4 at Banggood

From what I'm reading the TX adapter will just plug into my Devo 7's (not 7e unfortunately) trainer port?
Thanks for the motor link, I'll be buying some little quad soon, and it'll probably be this one.

+1 on the replacement motors from micro-motor warehouse. The motors from there are the best available and at a good price. I would not buy motors for any of my quads any place but there unless I did not have that choice.
the husban X-4 props are good, but the V252 props are just as good and more durable.

I have 7e with NRF2401 mod. Works just fine with Qbot micro. I like it better than dangling qbot's TX off of my TH9X

I think all of the motors that micro motor warehouse are good, they have been tested for performance by benedikt and woodsturning and others. I have the 0720 12 motors and some 0720 14 motors on the way. I think he may currently be out of 0720 12 motors.

Hi, I have just bought this and connected with JR XG8... trouble is that channels are completely mixed and there is no way of changing channel assignement ... if I look at the SERVO OUTPUT MONITOR in the TX, I can see that the Q-bot is taking its THROTTLE signal from 3rd channel.. and not 1st... and also others are mixed
What can I do? Anyone had similar issue?

EDIT: nevermind - I haven't read the manual right and haven't switched the MODE button on small TX... it needs to light RED for JR, and mine was Green - for Futaba

I searched this thread and i did not find anyone that tried to convert to brushless using this micro quad. I believe you can solder the esc to the fets just like in v922 conversion.

I dare say it might not be worth the effort because of the fixed gyro settings, starting off with something like a small multiwii board would probably work out better in the long run.

I tried running a ff120 board with both 8.5mm & 6mm motors, neither worked perfectly. The (geared) 8.5mm motors reacted slowly & the 6mm motors had gyro wobble. It will work but I guess you would have to try & match the weight of the stock quad/motors for best results.

It's the same as the hisky FF 120, so all the usual suspects should carry the spares... MassiveRC is my preferred spot for fast US shipping.
