Next FMS Warbird

Ok...here is the deal, I need to order a few little parts (tail wheel for stuka, spinner the hs-123) for and figured why the heck not get a new plane while I am at it. Problem is I just really don't know where to go with it...My thoughts are, the new series of mustangs have what I think are some improvements over the older models....so would I be doing myself a dis-service if I went with an older model....is it going to be replaced soon with something better? I have been looking hard at the zero...but the p51b is the latest....if they are going to do a new version of the zero like they did with the 51 should I just wait....same goes with the other planes...are they going to pull the 190 or 109 and do an update like with the 51 bubble top?

I have had the finger on the button to buy....but shy away due to these questions.

Any thoughts from the group out there?

I dont think they will do a new Zero cause theres really nothing wrong with it. The Stuka wont change either. The P-51D and B are the latest models so they will be around for a long time. The 109 and 190 are fine and I dont think they will do any new ones. Just new color schemes that there coming out with. The P-38 I heard theres going to be a V2. The new Corsair looks very good and is a new version. So I think your save to buy what you want

I have bought my last few FMS planes from BH, and got my stuka from nitro before they quit selling them. In looking at the planes they have in stock it just made me think that changes are coming...no green zero, no P40 (they top the list) the razor back p51 is darn tempting but I had been waiting for that p40 and zero for a long time....I have both in their 800mm and like them......

I had been getting the stuff from BH (I have never had a problem) as I did not like the crazy shipping costs.....where else are good places to go without the crazy shipping?

Another good U.S. distributer of FMS is MotionRC. They also carry ROC Hobby which is made by FMS. Just picked up the Critical Mass, and from the reviews it sounds like a winner indeed. And cant beat flaps and metal retracts at that price.

They make the Zero in green but the P-40 is old stock . FMS is the maker of the Stuka and still being sold

Zero not that the p40 is bad but the retracts are better and wings more easily transportable the zero also has split flaps and is slightly smaller also the radial cowl makes spinner. Cracks and hubs a non issue and its easy to use different props all you need is washers ... That's why once my spinner planes meet their demise ill stick with radial models
