P400BB Itching to Go
Well you learn something all the Time.
Was Just brousing and BOOM what's this a Permax 400BB. (price of 4 X S400)
So I bought! It's now occuping the engine bay in my ME109. Direct drive.
Installed Caps supplied and found serious glitching. So redid the caps with 100uf all around and it's now clean. Hmmm they work for me.
Will first try APC 5.7x3 prop and see how it responds.
Have 16 flights on the S400 (6x3 graupner)8Cell 600AE setup
and happy with this combo. but ya know the saying!
Will revert to it when we start up some Pylon
racing using the Stock class S400 this Spring.
As for the P400BB broke it in with 3V in a glass of Distilled H2O and killed a pair of D-cell doing so.
Figure that's good enough.
Now just wanta Fly it with this combo! This Weekend.
Have a APC 6.3x4 and Spinner Ballanced in the box Hmmm??
Gotta ballance the Spinner & prop as one.
That's why the hole in Spinner nose, Scale 20mm
Will give ya all a report when done. For now
Damm these Foamies are serious FUN.

Have just did a bench test for P400BB~5.7X3 APC prop combo.
RPM was a nice sounding 17340! very low vibs.
Amps with this load ~ 15A
Motor still kinda fresh.
Battery was a Warm 8cell 500AR
I like it so far!! Should be Balistic.
WingNut is the Man behind the kits.
Take you're pick there all fine flyers. More on the drawing board.

I added one of these motors to my Zagi 400X last week, and was quite pleased with the initial results. Using a 5.5x4.5 APC prop I got at least 20% more speed in level flight and an equally impressive increase in the climb rate.
Will be playing around with other props as soon as it stops raining.

Nice looking chevy V-8 ya got there in that F.F.X ME-109 Denis! I look forward to seeing fly.
Finally after much anticipation I can let people know where they can see the new F.F.X Park Fighter line-up direct from the designer/manufacturer Seriously Fun Models.
Designed to be highly aerobatic on 7 cell direct drive speed 400, these new 31 inch wingspan warbirds can be finished as scale as your time permits or built fast for quick pylon/combat fun. I humbly hope everyone likes what they see.
