I just got done flying my 47 inch Edge at the local field. I bought it shortly after they came out, but waited a year to put it together. Mostly I fly foamies or a balsa profile at the park. In three years time I replaced a couple axles and one landing gear on the Edge. I don't get too crazy with it, but do rolling circles, flat spins, lomcevaks, elevator, harrier, snaps, hammerheads, cuban eights, and other stunts. After a foamy, it is so easy to move up to a bigger plane with the Edge. It flies so nice that I don't feel a need to try a different plane.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement canopy for a red 47 Edge?

Just picked up a new one! I am planning on balance on the wing tube, Ω130, HS 65 MG's, and 3S power.

Any hints on low rates? I assume high is 45˚ or all I can get?

low rates=why bother

I'd suggest reading the manual ... I suspect it is linked to in the earlier part of the thread or you could probably just use the same rates as given for the 48" Edge's manual ( which is really the new one )

yes. I have the new edge also, and I should have the 47 up and running this weekend. Steve has flown both so you could ping him and ask…

I know HE likes the 47 better but I do not know exactly why.

I only found that out after I searched this thread for the manual and that was that they had linked to... the old link was broken but it didn't take much to get the new link to where they are now... I just visited the 3DHS website for it.

FYI.. I just searched for PDF to find it...
