Help!
900g glider motor/prop recomendations?

can some one please recomend me a good motor/prop setup for my 1.6m kfm9 glider i have built, i know its a bit porky but hey its a scratch build.
all i want it to do is climb up and then shut the motor off and glide about a bit, then do it all over again.
will be using a 3 cell 2200mah batt if that helps, the batts weight is in the 900g allready.
many thanks RCT

Hi RCT,

I like Hyperion motors so here's some data for you to peruse at your leisure...
Your plane weighs in just a bit under 2 pounds and a basic rule of thumb for sport flying is a motor producing 100 watts per pound. I would look at the following link;
http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/gs/GSpropdata.pdf
and choose from one of the 22xx-xx motors listed. They all are able to sustain 200+ watts, it's just a matter of your prop choice, and your batteries ability to provide the amps the motors wish to draw.

Happy flying to you,
