Oops, I better change that, I was not thinking about it being a Parkzone, I was going by the fact the Horizon Hobbies distributes it.

I was thinking about picking one up for my first 3D bird. Have you guys flown the original Typhoon? I was out at a local field last night asking about it but no one had even heard of it, let alone flown one. I've got the itch though. After watching these guys bust out with acrobatics it's just not the same putting my Cub around the field. And my PZ Spit is an awsome plane but I think I gotta get me somthing that I can go a little nutz with.

The Typhoon is a lot of fun. I gave mine away recently to a buddy but i miss it. Its a lot of fun and easily repairable.. i put mine through the ringer at times in high winds or just having fun. Looking forward to the new improved one coming out .

Does anybody know what receiver is being used in the T2? I am getting my first computer Tx, and I don't know if the receiver will work, It's 72mhz, so it should work, right?

And can the included battery be charged with another charger? or only the included charger...
thanks

The RX in the typhoon is just one of parkzone's 72 mhz recievers. I doubt that they have crystals that you could swap, but your frequency selections off of the website are Ch. 17 (72.130), Ch. 19 (72.170), Ch. 21 (72.210), Ch. 50 (72.790), Ch. 52 (72.830), and Ch. 54 (72.870). If you have a radio that you are going to use seperately, but with the Typhoon RX it is a good idea to get either a radio or a Tx crystal to allow you to use one of the frequencies above. But, correct me guys if I'm wrong, you are supposed to use low-band crystals with low band transmitters and high band crystals with high band transmitters...low band being below channel 30. So, if you TX comes with a channel 23 crystal, you can't put in a channel 47? I heard some people talking about that but I'm not sure if it is correct.

You will also be able to charge the battery that comes with the Typhoon with your own charger. It's a lipo battery so keep that in mind, but as long as you have a lipo charger and possibly an adapter or something to get matching connections from charger to battery, it would work just fine. It would probably be better to charge it with a better lipo charger, because Parkzone isn't known for outstanding battery chargers

I work at my LHS and people are falling end over end waiting on us to get these planes in. We don't have a true ETA yet but if they are being released in June, that means we'll probably get a handful in June or July, and then we won't get a big order of them in until probably the end of summer.

I'm really excited about this one for pnp reasons----sfgs, new MG servo's, better motor, better esc, with your reciever and lipo should be a great airplane out of the box for a low price--plus they are a durable throw in the car airplane---- I've seen one of these cart wheeled ----brushed off and off she went again.

thanks, My radio is a JR XP6102. Do you think I could use it with the included receiver?

If not, I can always swap the receiver out with another receiver.

I have an original Typhoon with new servos and a new ESC. I swapped out the rx and added one so I could use my 7C radio. The plane is a blast to fly. I fly 16-19 min on 2100 lipos. I am going to purchase the PNP Typhoon 2. That way I can add my own rx and once again fly with my old 7C. I am looking forward to flying this. The SFG should make for some interesting flying.

I heard the SFG are attached with bolts?? But I don't think PZ would do that...
It should make a good first 3d plane for me. Do you think I will get the same flying time as you mentioned with the included 2100 lipo?

You'll have to use your reciever as far as I know.
