That is reportedly just a 9x with ER9x firmware.
They have integrated the a port to attach a programming unit on to flash the firmware yourself.
And backlight and better gimbals.

for me it looks good, it has a lot of features. But it's too advance for me now. I can no longer test such hi tech products. I'm getting too old for it. I'll be sticking with my very walkera 2801TX until it dies!

Pitch, Its the firmware that makes the radio.
I got it for the cheaper receivers. Walkera receivers arent exactly cheap.
And its a dam good radio with that firmware...
And the the 2801 is all ready old now that devo has come out. I wonder how much longer they will make receivers for it.
I have the 2801 too and that was my first proper radio. Still good enough for me too.

I will wait for the FrSky model that will have telemetry as well.

Alright so I had my first outdoor hover test today (my previous parkade hover didn't go so well. After a slow start up I got to about 12' up then the tail blew out for no reason and I crashed, bending the feathering shaft. I'm thinking I didn't have enough default tail blade angle with the leading edge pointing towards the boom. A small corrective cyclic input and it was gone. I'm flying flybarless with a Tarot zyx-s. If anyone has experienced anything like this I welcome any suggestions.

Hey so I am getting a Trex 250 SE that has been crashed. I am on a tight budget and was wondering if those electronics would be good. It's the 250SP motor,15A ESC, Align DS410 and DS420 servos, and Thunder Power batteries. It won't come with a gyro so I plan to buy a Detrum GY48V $12 gyro. Do you think this setup will get me a high headspeed (about 4500) and good/great 3D performance? This is really just a quick project, to get me something to do until I buy a Trex 450 DFC Pro.

No, I can hold it in my hand and spool it up and it's as smooth as silk. I'm going to replace the inside belt drive unit (which seems to be ok) if that doesn't work, I'll just get a whole new kit.
