Evan:
Still not unlimited vertical but it is noticeable.
And it's much more reasonable price wise than a Jetfan/ HET.

My JetFan/HET powered Stinger has unlimited vertical(on 6s)...it goes and goes and the speed is not bad either. You do get what you pay for in fans, motors and batteries.......mis-step on any of these and a plane will fly "stock"....just saying.

With last minute Christmas errands to get taken care of, I haven't been able to get my jf/het 2100 installed or tested yet. Dangit! Well, hopefully next week I can get it done and give a report....

Max, with my new fan and motor I'm 110A and 2410W. I don't know your JF set up but if it's a 6S set up I think your about the same. The S90 is a big, heavy, I'm flying with heavier 5800mA packs for 6.5 minute flights, and draggy bird. I doubt you have true unlimited vertical either. But I'm sure yours, like mine, performs much better than "stock" and I'm sure you didn't mean to come across adversarial or detrimentally.

Just sayin'

I could be mistaken, but I'm fairly certain he's using the 700-68-2100.

I went and weighed my S90. Interesting that Motions site says 2800g ready to fly. I know they can't predict the wide range of flight battery weights but mine weighs 2450g w/o a flight battery. adding my 5800mA Zippy Compact that is 832g I am at a takeoff weight of 3372g. I think the JF + 2100 is good for 3.5kg of thrust outside the plane so 1:1+ is possible with a lighter battery. But with that lighter battery mine should also get to that magical 1:1.

Why has this threat gone onto installing new motor and fan units in the plane. Was there an issue with the unit that came with it? or were you looking for more performance?

Mine was great stock, but you know how that goes. We just want more of a good thing.

JetFan 90 HET 700-68-2100 on 6s......... . ....120amps @ WOT then settles to 110Amps.
Lipos used are new just broke in
Revo 65c......Dinogy 65c.......Genace 60c

What are you going on about? I don't know what those words mean....could you post the definition please?
You can fly what you believe in......you don't need to take my word.

To me you are coming across as picking a fight Max... sorry you don't understand. I am just posting what mine uses and my opinion about the performance it gives me. I don't need the "just saying", "going on about", and stuff. It's not called for.

Not the first time either.

Jet fan combo Is better than freewing red blue because jet fan is 9blade. More performance per watts. Maybe that's why performance difference between both even tho having same power.
