no, im flying it stock, i havent check the incidence angles or anything. but the plane lined up well when built. IT flies awesome, im charging right now, after about ten minutes of flight im putting back about 1000mah into my 3s 2100.
this setup is so lightweight and fun to fly. Very benign stall characteristics, easy to land with a little of spoilerons
motor and speed controller(cc 35) are barely warm

I never did, until I pushed the little guy over 1kW.
I build bunch of them, some for myself, some for my buddies, some for sale.
All were fine stock. All were in 700-1100W range. One I'm flying on 2400kV TPPower inrunner on 4 and 5s. I could not keep it level in high speed, always climbing. I tried first shim TE with tape and it helped.
Now I made a bed from layers of cf cloth with epoxy which I hope will also help to prevent cracks forming around wing saddle opening. I got some cloth inside too.

Nice flight video Jezze!
My servo heat shrink finally showed up so I will start my build pretty soon. I went inexpensive DD setup as im saving my $$ for a formula hv and gb setup.

thanks heliflyer, I bought a cheap set up but ended up using a Mega anyways.. This is temporary until I get motor and gb...

I know what your saying about the HV, I just need a spinner and prop for my X plane and I'll have it ready.. Boy they are expensive to fly.....

On-board video

first flight with camera, was also first flight with 11x6, and as one can tell from the video, the blades need some sanding(to fold bind free).
although it did fly ok with a 10x6 i swapped in an 11x6. Its really pushing this little outrunner(suppo 2217 1250 kv, 70 gram), but it was the only motor my local(1 hour away) hobbyshop had that i could use right away. and it was cheapo $22.50

HobbyKing Reverb flies in Stockton (7 min 8 sec)

Hi Jesse,

Congrats on your maiden flight.

When you switch to 5S (all else being the same), if the airframe's drag is low enough (new 5S prop not being too small), you might see about 7% speed increase.

Good luck and have fun,

Gryph
