RS 12V PS's are heavily discounted at closing stores
I searched and didnt see any mention of this, but if you have a Radio Shack store closing near you, the 3A 12v power supply is about $16 and the 15A is $30.
To find a closing store, find the product on their website and locate a store near you. It will have a "closing" icon beside it. We have 2 closing soon. I saw at leat 10 15As and 5+ 3A PS's still there, even tho most everything else had been cleared out.
I know they arent that great of a deal at their regular price, but at 70% off, they start looking alittle better

I picked one of the 15A supplies up yesterday. It was actually still marked $48 but I had them check and it was listed at $32.
The unit appears to have a fan but on mine, the fan isn't turning. It might be temperature controlled and not coming on because I've only drawn about 2A from it so far. I checked the manual and there is no mention of the fan.
If you have one of these, could you check if the fan is running at low/light load? If the fan is defective on mine I'd like to swap it out while the store still has some left.
Thanks tware for posting this! It's a nice replacement for the old PC power supply I was using with a paper clip to bridge the turn on signal on the ATX connector. :-)
