Shinto F3B/F3F from Vladimir's Model

Just noticed this while I was looking around at VM site:

http://f3j.in.ua/en/shinto.html

It's great to see Vladimir branching out into F3B. A video found in one of the tabs suggests a past connection of this plane to Aerotec. Probably more details will be added soon.

Hope all is well for you and your family, Vladimir… Worrying times.

Hugh

Hi Hugh,

The Shinto is designed by Stefan Eder from Germany (http://www.aer-o-tec.de/en/index.php/news/), primarily as an F3b model. But it has so far proven an excellent F3F model across a range of conditions. I have flown the Shinto in 3 contests so far, one UK domestic league event (1st place), and two Eurotour/World Cup (3rd and 4th places). I also have two Freestyler 4s, the benchmark model for F3F, and the Shinto compares well. It is one of the finest handling models I have flown, and thermals well of the winch.

For those of you that have seen the Shinto in person, is Vlad doing the integral, molded in gap seals like is done on the Maxa?

The wipers/seals are typical of other F3b type models, e.g. fS4

For the upcoming F3B world championship I have decided to use the Shinto. I will cover the installation and my findings of the plane here in this thread, starting next week with nice pictures when my planes arrive.

Today I have received t he ballast, which will put the Shinto to FAI limit on wingloading if needed.

First I just want to start to share the speed Vladimir develops things. I have asked Vladimir's model to support me with a fuselage for a electric version of the Shinto, so I can practice F3B during winter without the use of a winch. A few weeks later he has a solution.

The V tail servos will be mounted in a pre manufactured LDS servo tray for quick assembly/disassembly. A Hyper Spinner Power will also be availalable later just for the Shinto. I'm getting the prototype fuselage next week and will update with pictures and info of were to place the batteries for correct CG

More to come!

Very interesting plane, and also good strategy for your own preparation.
Good luck in the WC, Jonas, thanks for posting pictures.

The only real issue will be launch practice, you will not get any, but getting stick time on the plane that way is a fantastic plan and you will be much further ahead of the learning curve.
Please post pictures as you have time along the way.
