35mm motors on X525 frame
So the motor mounts accept them, but has anyone ever ran them?
Even if you didn't use the stock motor mounts and just mounted them directly to the arms, how did it turn out? And if you did so, how did you mount them to the arms, zip ties? Drilled new holes and bolted? Any vibration dampening between the arm and mount?
After overheating and burning up an old motor, I decided to go bigger and got a set of 3536 1000kv Turnigy Aerodrives, and compared to the old 2822 1200kv's, they're MASSIVE

So how'd this turn out? I've got a 525 frame on the way and I'm hoping to use 4 35mm's I have already rather than buying new motors. eCalc says I'm going to have to run 11" props though... my math says that should fit, but someone with experience might be able to alert me to problems before it arrives. Cheers.
