Anyone use a Kodak EasyShare M552 14MP or equivalent camera?

I recently lost my GoPro 960 (tree issue), and I am considering using a "normal" camera for recording videos from my plane. (Yes, I am still hunting for the GoPro).

Anyone ever use any of the Kodak EasyShare cameras on a plane?

The M552 does 720p at 30 FPS, which as good enough. It'll record up to 29 minutes, with 2 hour battery life, and runs about $75. (And comes in red & orange, colors easy to see on the ground!)

Yes, it's big and heavy compared to the GoPro, but this is not an issue for the plane I am using. (Peace Drone by ExperimentalAir, GREAT airplane, http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1564769)

The GoPro has the fisheye lens, with the wider field-of-view than the Kodak.

Anyone have experience with "normal cameras" like the EasyShare M552 they could share?

I prefer point-n-shoots to the 808 type toy cameras, for stills.
Far superior megapixels.
Videos, the 808s do a 1/2 way decent job when they work.
The larger more reliable cameras aren't as easy to place in a plane, especially for forward looking, if you're after a somewhat aerodynamic installation.
I'm tempted by the GoPro, it is available locally, and a bit smaller than the point-n-shoots frontal area wise.
If the Kodak has a sequential mode, which obviates any extra shutter trigger device, it reads good for stills and videos.

So, do you use that car to go buy groceries? Just kidding..... thanks for the *nice* sample pictures. The EasyShare is a lot bigger & heavier than the GoPro, but 1/2 the price of the GoPro 960 I lost. The size/weight won't be a problem for the plane I am using I expect.

Guess I'll wind up letting you know shortly, if I don't find my missing GoPro over the weekend.

I have a Kodak Play Sport and it is the clearest video camera I have. It is superb! If the other Kodak Point n Shoot cameras are as good I'd for sure buy one!
