What to Build??? O What to Build?????

Ok,
so i have been readind all this Micro EDF stuff for a while now, and i have enjoyed every last minute of reading these forums. So now i have decided to build my own micro EDF, and i was wondering what youse guys wanted to see built? I was thinking an ME-262, or a C-130,, something scale. As of right now i cant really afford to spend too much, unless anybody lives in atlanta and wants a some TD-10 V-Drums,, so if any one can suggest some cheap and good materials, that would be awesome!! But just through in your opinion, i want to get into this project before my short atention span runs out... I have about 48 hours and counting. but please through in you suggestions i would really appreciate it!!!!!

Thanks
Chase

A 262 would be bad to the bone! Of cousre being a large 262 owner I am biased.

good choice, that is what i was leaning towards, your the winner ima do that 1, just need to get done with my AirFoilZ build and i'll get going,,, unless some one can suggest something better than a 262... but i doubt it.. lol ... i am going to work out the specs in the next couple days, and put up a drawing for it if i get time... my goal is to make the ducted fan version of this http://mnewell.rchomepage.com/Planes/P-51/P-51.html not in shape or design, but functionality in small size,,, that one is 14g with flaps and retracts what the heck!!!! how is that possible... but yeah

Thanks
Chase

Me 262's are like bums - seems like everyone's got one

If you like WW2 stuff, why not do an Arado 234? Unusual subject that not many others would have in their hangars, high wing with underslung jet pods would be good for belly landings.

Would definitely be a bit different.

DoctorBadVibez - very nice design, i wish i knew CAD better and 3D stuff,, its just awesome,, i started using some cad programs latley though, and i can actually get a physical design of all the cluttered thoughts in my head. (since i cant draw for crap)

clinth01 - hmm that looks like a cool plane, and i may check it out later, right now though im in the "ducted fan" designing phases, to say. Im running as many simulations as possible with different motors and stuff,,, i have not gotten too much into the whole process yet, but still. Why cant some one make a "Dummies Guide to Fluid Dynamics" and a "Dummies Guide to Aeronautical Engineering" With those two books i would be set... LOL

O, btw i have no preferences in planes, to say. just looking for an easy initial project, 1 step at a time, if all this goes well ill probably go micro jet CRAZY, and be put in a circular room and told to pee in the corner...

thank you thank you, you guys are very kind, maybe I'll check out the forums and see if someone can build these hehehe

PS you might want to check out RCCad, its got its limitations but you'd be amazed at what you can make!

Tony_Pham i like that one a lot, it looks great and it has some how to say engineering atvantages... the engines are built into the body, so wing would be easier to create, and less wiring

well last week i worked some on the turbine for the me-262, didnt go well, i do not know hot to shape a mesh object, though i tried multiple things.. so here is just somethig that would be an inner duct, bit im liking that a-37, may actually have a more likley chance to fly if done properly... but yeah.

thanks chase

Think i am going to stick with the me-262, but i still like that a-37, if a major problem arises with this then i will definitly go with the a-37...... O, i had a great idea this morning too, don't know why i hadn't thought of it before but,,, I can gear 1 motor to both ducts .... i really want a cad drawing of the plane though so i can decide the best material for parts.. idk how much foam would weigh, but some 1K CF is 2.4oz per sq yard, so surface area vs. volume... i wonder which will win???
