High amp esc low amp motor
Can I use a high amp esc in combination with a low amp motor?
I'm planning to reuse a 30A esc in combination with a 10A motor (peak 16A).

Yes, no problem what so ever. You can always go bigger, the reason why most dont is to save weight. They want to make their plane as light as possible so getting a small & light weight ESC that just has enough amps to work with the motor is good for them.
