ok she turned up BUT...... how do you tell the diff (other than crashing it) between an epp fox and a epo fox?
i ordered epp but i think i have been sent 'epo'
ordered from a uk outlet not direct.

P.s. one other thing either i got one of the early kits, the spar location in this kit is still in the 'wrong' place as it were, i had hoped that that at least the spar location had been changed in the kit i got. i can fix the incidence of the tail no problem but the spar is another matter.

Pictures of the wing held up to a light might help regarding the spar location, also if you weigh one of the wings that might help determine EPP vs EPO. Did the kit include a clear canopy?

checked the spar up against the light and its in the old position, yes it has a clear canopy, weight about 62.90 ish grams

So spar location is different then this picture Ming posted in the last page?



The fact that it has a clear canopy means it's not an old old kit though. I'd be interested to find out when the spar location adjustment was made if it ever was. I know the spar length was changed, but it's unclear if Ming changed the location at all. In his last post here he just confirms where the spar is located and doesn't necessarily confirm that that location changed from the original.

If someone else doesn't pipe in, I'll weigh my wing when I get home and let you know. I've secured all the materials but have yet to hack into it or install any gear.

This is a pic posted in 2008 which you can make out the spar lines which seem to be the same as above picture recently posted by Ming.



I would think this points to the spar location not actually changing. IIRC there was some post which mentioned the location of the spar had something to do with the manufacturing process and while it would have been ideal to have it moved, trying to make it with the spar in the ideal location caused issues.

EDIT: HERE is link to Ming's comment about moving spar. I think may have never gotten moved only extended, hard to say for sure without his actual input.

P.s. can anyone confirm if removing the wingtips have a detrimental effect on the performance of the wing/plane?
