component identification

One of the components on a Crius gps board blown can you help me find a replacement ?

There are 2 yellow components marked s106c

These are SMT tantalum capacitors with a value of 10uf @ 6VDC. You can get them at digikey.com or mouser.com. Probably blew when you hooked up the power wires backwards?

Havent a clue Hammer , it was working fine one minute then it wasnt , ill order one of the ones you mention , many thanks for your help hopefully back to nomal then

You might want to check the physical size of the components on your GPS board against the ones you reference on Ebay. The ones on Ebay are 'A' size but these types of capacitors come in B, C, D and E sizes.

Unfortunately a lot of the retailers will only sell them in large quantities.

Is the size and type relevant ?
