New Book on Electric RC Flying
Well-Known "Hobby" Author/Photographer Robert Schleicher has just released a book entitled "How To Build And Fly Electric Model Aircraft". It is a soft-cover "Coffee-table" style volume, 10-1/2" X 8-1/2", 160 pages. It has hundreds of color photos, a listing of about 200 URL's for "specialty" vendors, 14 chapters like "Simple Electric Aircraft", "Batteries-The Power For Flight", "Preparing For Flight", "Aerobatic, 3D, 4D + Combat Flying", "Indoor Electric Flight", "Silent Helicoptors", "Maintenance And Repair" and "Clubs And Publications". In addition to the "Sources" there is also a short glossary of Aviation and Electric flight terms.
I am proud to say that one of the sites Bob visited while researching E-Flight was the home field of the Rocky Mountain Electric Flyers. Several of our club members are shown in the book.
