Scott, got a email from TBM, the 55" Pc-21 is in stock

I contacted ESM directly last week, regarding their new electric retracts.
The V2 never went into mass production due to the gears being stripped at the retract extension limit.
The V3 will be available in August, with the problem sorted. Rubber "bumper stops" will slow the retract's movement near the limit, preventing the problem.
Not long to wait, hopefully!!

And I saw that the PC-21 is in stock now but I am having to move away from tricycle geared place as I do not have anywhere to fly them at the moment. I miss my old club and field .

CR50 second motor second test (0 min 40 sec)

Here is the second test of the motor I am building for my buddy down under. This is after regluing the magnets in the rear rotor and putting some CA between the magnets in the front rotor. While this motor has a rear rotor that nutates less than my first motor, it still has some vibration at low throttle but after about 1/8 throttle it smooth’s out and runs great. I just need to get the spinners made and props drilled and it is ready to ship out. I took the MCAT today so I should have some more time to work on RC stuff. Next for my plane is figuring out how I am going to attach the cowl for easy access to the motors and speed controllers.

Great! Mine flew very well, I just did not have the runway for it. It was very predictable and would slow down very well if you let it. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Well, that just made my day! So cool. Hope the MCAT went well.

Got the second motor finished up today. Here are some pictures of the motor and the runup. Sorry for the lack of work on the Spitfire, sometime in the fall all the things keeping me from working on it will have passed and I'll get started on it again.

I recently scored a long sought after kit that this info might be quite useful in.

Many years back, around 1979, Model Merchant produced a .60 glow power almost ready to cover kit of the Martin Baker 5, from the Dan Parsons design.

I actually got to fly Ted White's very nice MB 5 from this kit in the early 1980s. He used to campaign one in the local scale competitions. A superb flying model.

Built up balsa fuse, assembed and mostly sanded out...call it 90-95% done. Balsa covered foam wings and tail surfaces.

This motor might do the trick, although it is a little large and heavy for this particular model.

The MB5 demands plenty of grunt!!
Do you have a build thread for the MB5. I would love to see some photos, as one MB5 builder to another :^)
