2x 2S In Series with EC3 and 14AUG wire?

Hey Guys

Im just getting into 4S EDF's and have a few questions.

I ahve not purchased a 4S capable charger yet nor batteries and before I do, I thought I would try out a few existing 2S Batteries in series.

I have the following in mind...

2x Turnigy 2S 2200mah w/EC3 Connectors

I will be creating a Series harness with EC3 Connectors and 14AUG wire.

My question is I know the EC3's are good for 60 amps but will the 14 AUG wire be enough or will I need something like 12 or even 10?

Cheers.
Will

Use the same gauge wire already on your packs. IMO 10 gauge is overkill.
Personally I use Deans Wet Noodle 12 gauge for just about everything!

If you have 14 gauge, use it. The power loss difference between 14 and 12 gauge wire will be negligible and absolutely unnoticed. Losses elsewhere in your power system (batteries, motor) will be magnitudes greater.

40 amps is a walk in the park for 14GA wire.

Power loss difference between 12GA and 14GA in 1 foot of wire is about 1.5 watts at 40 amps. On a 4S system at 600 watts, a 1.5 watt delta would be absolutely transparent.
