Help finding a plane

I could use a hand. I am looking for a plane with these requirements but not having a lot of luck.

1. Must use an 8s 4000mah battery (two 4s in series)
2. Must be a high wing or shoulder wing design (No low wing aerobatic planes)
3. Must have a battery hatch that does not require it to be flipped over to change battery
4. Prefer an ARF (>$300) but a laser cut kit for a reasonable price (>$150) would be OK.

Does anyone know of one?

Extreme Rc 's new Legend series Bush Plane certainly fills that bill, but could also fly on 6s very well. There's a thread on a Porter PC6 right here that looks good too.
All kinds of larger Cubs out there and Taylorcraft from Hanger9. Doug B

I think the Hangar 9 Taylorcraft is discontinued.

Was looking at the Lanyu Primary 100 but it seems you can't get them in the US anymore.

The reason I have to stay with 8s is because I have 4s 4000mah packs I can run in series. 6s setups would require battery purchase.

My old Senior Telemaster was setup like that. the nose hatch provided great access to the batteries. Big wingspan allowed it to float forever.

I do like it. I guess my thoughts on a kit not costing that much are off.

Did you run 8s on it? I see Hobby Express calls for a 5s.

Yes. with an Axi motor and jeti esc. Those are really high quality components; very reliable but pricey. You can now buy lots of cheap motors, ESC's for a lot less and the low end quality is getting better each year. Post a wanted add in RCG Classifieds for a kit. I bet somebody has one that could be bought within your budget.

Have you looked at this cub for your 8S setup?

I saw it, but out of my price range.

Might have to find some plans for something in the 100" range and scratch build.

Planes designed for 8S setup are usually fairly large , and as your finding out get quite expensive quickly. Motors and ESC's get real expensive real quick over 6S.
If you have lots of "FREE" time, you can build from plans or even a short kit.Do not expect it to be any cheaper tho, likely more in the end result. What you can achieve is a lighter plane designed specifically for electric. fwiw Doug B

Yes, I agree. I already have motor and ESC lying around from clearance sales.

Not interested in depron.

I have bought from Texas RC before and will look again. Last time I looked I thought they were out of stock on the larger sticks.

Does anyone know of a good short kit or plans for a larger ugly stick in the 100" to 110" span?
