Armattan Mini Tricopter
Instead of all those H style mini quads, how about a tricopter? Seems like a good time for one.
And of course, the maiden of the prototype frame:
The frame is still in the prototyping phase, and I'm waiting on some hardware before a couple of the frames go up for sale, but here is a feature list for the final version:
-1mm Carbon Fiber Plates (main and top)
-1mm Carbon Fiber FPV camera plate
-3mm Carbon Fiber Arms
-Custom direct drive tail mechanism
-Option for various vibration isolation methods (or none for a speed racer)
-Small or large FC mounting
-Various lipo mounting locations
-Various motor size options (accepts 16x19 motors!)
-Up to 6" props
-Mounting for Mobius
The setup seen in the video above is:
-Acro Naze32 (pink!)
-Naze distro board
-18A Plush ESCs (stock)
-Sunnysky 2204 2300kV motors
-5030 Gemfan props (waiting on 6" to test)
-9g digital metal gear servo
-EZUHF 4ch lite Rx
-ImmersionRC 5.8GHz 600mW
-LC filter tapped off main distro
-Mobius wide angle
AUW before lipo was 420g.
9 packs were run that day, ranging from 3S 950mAh (5 min flight time @~45% hover throttle) to 3S 2200mAh (9 min flight time @~55% hover throttle).
Tail Assembly 3D printed parts are now available on Shapeways!
Questions or feedback are welcome.

And we also have the quad version by altering the amount and location of the arms.
And she also flies very nicely.
Specs for the above flight:
1 x Armattan Mini Quad Prototype
4 x RCX ZMR 1804 2400kV (2 CW, 2CCW)
4 x 10A ESC with SimonK
8 x 5030 props (4 orange, 4 color of your choice, red green or black)
1 x Acro Naze32 (pink!)
1 x Naze power distribution board
1 x PZ0420 knockoff (work as well as the real thing)
1 x ImmersionRC 600mW 5.8GHz VTx
1 x IBCrazy Skew Planar Wheel
1 x LC power filter tapped off main distro (single lipo setup)
2 x Lipo straps
With a 3S 950mAh and a mobius it weighed 455g AUW.

I like that a lot. I think I might have to get one and run in quad configuration!
Love that you went 3mm on the arms, should be another bullet proof frame!

Thank you everyone! More pictures and info will be coming once I get my big order of hardware in. The prototype I flew is cobbled together with various lengths of screws etc that I had lying around, so it isn't the prettiest of things. Well, I think it's kinda cute, but I might be a bit biased.
