Speaking of scale detail. Have a look at the trouble these guys have e been to, to get things just right. For the NPC, see if you can find anything out of order.

Don't know much about Spitfires. Until I became interested in P40's I had no idea there were so many changes to the planes. Not only that but to the markings as well.

This used to be 'Little Jennie' but for some reason they ( crazy French ) thought to put a skull on it. Oh well ... better than a Shark Mouth ? Maybe next time ?

I'm no fan of the skull either Brent! I sure would like to see more professionally done video coverage of airshows like that though. That video was excellent!

Super video from the Paris air show..! It aught to be required viewing for newbies and others who need brushing up on the use of rudder for tail dragger airplanes on take off......and landing.!

Bryan Cox - " As all our training in Tigers and Harvards had been done on large grass airfields, with many aircraft operating simultaneously into wind, it was difficult for instruction to extend beyond a token demonstration of a crosswind landing by one's instructor...........I feel that student pilots with 50 hours' experience today, training on runways, would have more knowledge and training in crosswind landing techniques than we had with over 300 hours' flight time !"

Good flying video here for those thinking of sound systems. Maybe the wind is a factor here but generally I notice the sound of the plane varies a lot depending on how close it is. As you would expect. It doesn't take long and the plane moves out of hearing. Volume is not the 'thing'. That sound of a P40 is the best there is. Nothing wrong with an Allison ! But no one has come close mimicking yet IMO.

And ... the crowd pleaser ?

Well, they did get a more steady view of that impressive plane but the video had few moments of steady quality, ...., darn.

Sound for the Allison or Merlin needs some kind of pulsing air discharge to make close to the real thing, something the current sound systems don't provide.

Very good Ray. What a fabulous club you have. The p40 was the best. The only one that looked anything like a real plane and helped no doubt by your most capable flying. Flying that Tiger Moth in that much wind without a gyro takes quite some doing and I can say that can't I ?
Vacuum cleaner ? I've not heard that one before ..... heard the one about a chainsaw/weedeater thou.

Thanks Brent .
We have a medium sized regional club of about 80 members.
Great fun when a good number of different types are brought out to the field !!
The Allison in the P-40 is getting a little tired after so many flights but to say it sounds like a vacuum cleaner seems a little harsh !!
The little Tiger is still one of my favourites .. a real delight in windy conditions !!
All great fun..

Nice bomb drop BTW. Missed by inches I'd say.
