More Power Needed for T-Rex 450

I am flying my trex 450 se v2 with a homebuilt 3-axis gyro stabilized cam mount, go pro, and downlink system (fpv). It's very heavy. It can hover at a good bit over half throttle, and climbs slowly. I don't have enough power to pull out of sticky situations. My flight times are down at about 4 minutes. How do I get more power, and longer flight times?

My current setup is a 60amp esc, tp 2100mah 3s, stock carbon blades, and stock align blue inrunner. I recently tried out the hk 4400kv outrunner, but it had the exact same performance as the stock align motor.

Any suggestions on different blades, batt, or motor would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to shed some weight off the FPV/stabilisation system?

If you HAVE to fly a 450 and can't get a quad or a bigger heli, then increasing number of batteries and cell count (with appropriate ESC and motor upgrade) is the only real option, 6S maybe?

You would really benefit from longer blades too, which means you're going to be stretching the heli.

Most obviously, your camera and FPV equipment is too heavy for a 450, so you'll most likely end up cutting through the BS and getting a larger heli or stretching the one you have, by which process you will end up with a larger heli anyway.

Hmmmm

Depending on where the weight is ?

2650 3S battery [ greater capacity ] also more weight !

Bigger better motor and ESC / more power = less run time ..

Longer rotor blades - you can run 335 no problems HK sells them ..

Motor ? What pinion ? I would try dropping the pinion to 10T or 11T since the KV is 4400 , let the motor spin , but slow down the head , increase torque effect with lower tooth pinion , and slap on some larger blades .. I have run up to 350mm blades without stretching [ could be risky ] but just gentle hovering and flying ..

Rotor Blades - Try these ?

I agree with an 11T pinion, and find a way to mount a 3S1P 3000mah/30c battery under the frame that agrees with CG. Scalers are heavy, so I run the above with acceptable results.
