Sounds like the rx is not bound properly. Try re-binding and see if that works. If not, before you connect your battery to the rx push your throttle stick to full on your tx , connect battery, wait for double beeps then bring your throttle stick back down. This will reset your esc.
good luck

Extraboy's advice works most of the time for me. A lot of new planes I've been getting lately I've had to do that full throttle to initialize the throttle range first. A couple of my FMS planes it turned out I needed to reverse the throttle channel to get it to work.

But certainly a word of advice, make sure to the this with the PROPS OFF Much safer that way, just in case...

Throttle calibration of the ESC should be performed on every single plane you ever buy. Taking the prop off is definitely a must. I once got 26 stitches in my leg for not obeying that rule.

That is usually and indication of throttle not being all the way in the down position or a lose motor wire / bad connection.

I just received my batteries. Two turnigy lipoly 5s 3300 mah 30c. Both fit under the cockpit without any trimming. This should give the stock motors and props plenty of power and a decent flight time also. I am using a 6v nimh battery to power the electrics.

Two turnigy lipoly 3300 mah 5s 30c batteries fit under the cockpit perfectly.
6600 mah total will give good flight times. Will post my times when finished.

I like the idea of the 2 x 3300's. Just never thought they could fit nicely. Well done.
Love to see a pic of fitment and interested in flight times too.
