I have been pushed into a quick build because I crashed my plane yesterday and have a national slope event comming up in three weeks. So, lets see how we manage.
Please feel free to ask questions. Even better, please tell us how or what you did to improve an already very easy, great slope flier! We are by no means the best builders with correx, as it is known in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, but have built a few. We started with the original size, for glow .25, but for the slope. Since then, we have built a 2m, Saito Fa 1.25 powered Mig with u/c. The electric Migs are also high on our list of must haves!
Here are a few pics of what we have built. These should help you decide to follow this thread or move onto composites.

That will get you endless nose up!
You will have to do a bit of reserch to find the equivalent as some of the items are discontinued....but here is a good start for the motor if you dont want to go AXI!
My setup is well powered, but you can either go bigger on the model or smaller on the power train!
HXT 900 servos will also do the job. I have been flying my electric for seven years now, so "those days" when I built it, there were no cheaper alternatives!

Start by dl the free plans and print in A4. If you can plot to scale, even better. Take your file on stick to your local print/copy shop and get them to enlarge to the scale you want, cheep-cheep! I am going for a 1320mm span. I have built smaller and larger and find this size best. Starting with the fuzz. Once enlarged, cut all your templates out. Place these on 3mm ply, template and cut out. Remember, we are building a slopie, so we will be using 3mm correx for the fuzz, tail feathers and ailerons, 2mm for the wing. Fuzz formers will be 3mm ply, spar 4mm ply. It does not have to be as per drawing as this was for a powered plane.

The first mod comes on formers F2 and F5. Once you have templated onto your plywood, add on 4mm extra on the bottom. This helps with a more positive wing location.

My name is Markus and have build flown and crashed a couple Mig’s with Sean. In the moment I have a power and a Slopie Mig in my hanger and they are by far my most favorite birds.
We are also known as team Mig.

I recently went to a slope event and was left out of the most fun flying because I didn't have a a PSSer. Came home and decided to scratch out a Mig 3, partly because of the pics posted by you SA guys.
Thanks for sharing your build log, I will be subscribed and following for inspiration. I haven't put wire to foam yet since I promised myself I would learn CAD lofting on this project which has been a project in itself. I may just try the correx method to satisfy the need to be at the bench rather than at the desk for now.

You must bring your fuzz over so I can fit my wing. That will be Jim sorted. You however.......
I've cut out the formers, glued F5 to F5A and FB and colored in the "headrest" black.
