i must be the lucky one for the radio problems as i have yet to have them if you contact cris nacastro on here on the forum he will be more than happy to assist you in your troubles . i had found that the q.c is also an issue as many of the small hex screws were stripped in the original build . i replaced them with phillips head as a hex that small has no hold power anyway . if i may ask what happened exactly with the radio??

when you turn the wheel in either direction it only turns one way and the action is very twitchy i think its the transmitter because when all this happened the throttle reversed itself too..like it just freaked out..i have tried resetting everything but no luck..mike

And now you see why I want a receiver ready kit, and why I wouldn't do anything until I had a really good radio to use with it. Maybe they also need to make it a real kit so the end user can assemble it. Should make it a lot cheaper too.

.im over it, moving on to work on the 5th..i just have not had luck with any of the mini scale rtrs..i remember when the rc18t first came out i had to have one and it was a big let down too because it didnt have a slipper and the ring/pinion would slip gears. i have the same feeling now.im realizing that the smaller the r/c the more money it cost to get the same performance as a larger scale thats been developed more..mike

by the rtr they can get more new people to get into the hobby as building is not for every one !! the venom is so new that a kit form is not as of yet available but in time and demand im sure it will be . my issue with rtr is this if you are going to charge for the labor and time to build it then it should be built properly!!!!!! not thrown togathere as most are that is my beef because when i build a vehical for someone i make sure everything is perfect !!! or it doesnt roll out the door !! and chris needs to address this to venom it is this issue alone that is causing problems . because i am sure if you didnt have these small issues you would be more willing to deal with it better as far as driving and such . but before you sell id contact chris or venom as they are verry good on the customar support !! i know because i have had some issues and they have resolved them all with no hastle what so ever !!!

this is true as i and im sure you have seen . if you cant work on it dont buy it !!! but i guess the hobby shops love it cause it keeps them going and drives people like you and i crazy to see the poor workmanship put into some of these models . when if it were in kit form we as builders would have done it right the first time .

i feel your pain my friend i get bombarded theres a local place that guys run and they hover me like i have candy and beer in my pocketts !!! i am more than glad to help but all of the guys have taken there stuff to the local lhs and even there they dont do a good job . like you said this is a growing problem . and sad to say its killing rc .

Your problems are normal for RTR stuff. I too learned this. Doesent matter what type of vehicle it is.

You can ALWAYS plan on replacing RTR electronics, especially radio stuff.

And to be really prepared, plan on relpacing the motor & ESC.

But i have seen some bulletproof RTR's, for instance my friends Traxxas Summit, it actually works perfect, radio and all.

It seems like a crap shoot, I wish they MFG would sell both RTR's for the instant gratification buyers/beginners, and kits for those who dont want junk and install their choice of stuff.
