Midelic, thank you very much for a such quick reply. Goebish, thank you, it really works better with your version, but I'd like to keep channel order as is since all my TXs are now AETR. This old Walkera WK-2402 actually uses EATR, so I only swapped E and A potentiometers' connectors inside. When I tried your version, I set the mode 1 although it is mode 2 transmitter. That way it was possible to use your TAER version with lower limits.

Hello,

Can you confirm all I need is :

Arduino 3.3V 8Mhz : http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Arduino-kompa...item2c90590723
A7105 RF : http://www.ebay.fr/itm/201070505296?...84.m1439.l2649
3.3V BEC : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ly_6_23v_.html

If the Arduino board voltage input is at 3.3V, I don't need any diode regulator ?

Thank you

Yes ,,but you chose the expensive ones probably you don't want to wait long time.
If you have that BEC you don't need other regulator or diode..in fact that is essentially a voltage regulator.
Aditionally when you connect the XL7105 , need to connect the TXEN toVCC.

I just tested the version with increased throttle (lower limit). It works great now, thank you!

Better safe than sorry so, here's a rev2 with a LDO.

R1 = R2 = R3 = 1K (0805)
R4 = R5 = 5.6K (0805)
Q1 = 2N2222 (SOT-23)
C1 = C2 = 10 µF / 10V tantalum (1206), expensive, probably not mandatory, but better have them, at least C2.
IC1 = AMS1117-3.3 (SOT-223)

headers:

(2x) 1x8 2.54mm pitch male
1x5 2.54mm pitch female
1x9 2.00mm pitch male

requires:

1x Arduino pro mini, any version, goes on bottom
1x A7105-D03 RF module, goes on top

I attached a zip archive with eagle files and .hex firmware (8 & 16MHz versions)
edit: I removed the files because I really don't want to see this sold at goodluckbuy or other chinese shops as that has recently happened with designs downloaded from this forum ... If you want them, please PM

A few things about the firmware:

- plug & play, no need to revert any channel or adjust endpoints on the X9D
- AUX1 controls LEDs
- AUX2 controls flip-ability
- AUX3 controls the vTX channel for the X4 FPV version (H107D), so you can use it with your fatshark goggles or any other vRX, it's split in 8 "zones", by default it uses ImmersionRC/Airwave compatible frequencies:
5740, 5760, 5780, 5800, 5820, 5840, 5860, 5860
connect pins 10 & 11 together on the arduino to use Boscam band E compatible frequencies instead:
5705, 5685, 5665, 5645, 5885, 5905, 5925, 5945
- telemetry: there's battery voltage telemetry sent via smartport, openTX can display it, you can also set an alarm directly in your TX. note that the value reported by "RPM" is the current vTX frequency actually.

I can make a small batch if enough (at least 5 or 6) people is interested.
Hi!

I have just build this. I have the x9d+ radio. It works ok with midelic´s hex, but not with your hex. It binds and fly, but when in air it seems like it has some "thicks". i also got telemetry lost/recovered all the time.

Thanks

A friend had this telemetry lost/recovered issue with an old firmware (wrong smartport timing)... that's surprising but maybe I posted this version, sorry.
Are you using a 8 or 16MHz version ? I can rebuild and send the firmware to you.

I should have a chance to test it in an actual X9D+ next week end, but I don't see why its smartport would be any different to the one in the X9D.

I used the hex that was inkluded in the zip with the pcb files you posted earlier. I use an 16mhz pro nano.

Ok, try this one I just built for m328 @ 16MHz.

I never tried with a 16MHz Arduino but there's no reason it wouldn't work, very slight difference in the code, and this difference has nothing to do with frsky smartport...

I just tried this one I made today (rev2 with 8Mhz pro mini), couldn't check telemetry because I don't have a X9D here, but it works wonderfully to control the X4

The new hex works perfect. The "thicks" are gone and the telemetry works good! Thanks

Questions...

Hi,

I'm interrested by this project and already ordered a Pro Mini atmega328 3.3V 8M and A7105 module.
But I have a few questions:
- My hubsan X4 is a version 1 (it's the 1st edition without leds or anything like this just the bare quad). Can I load this hex file anyway FlySky_HubsanTx_V2_M328_8Mhz.hex ? The FlySky&Hubsan V1 is only available for M328_16MHz.
- Does it work if multiple people use the same transmitter with the same hex at the same time in either Hubsan or FlySky mode? (ie Transmitter ID is fixed or random or ...)
- I'm guessing there is a first attempt to bind for a couple of seconds when the FlySky code starts and then it enters normal mode, correct? (as there is no bind button)
- Has the FlySky code been tested with the airplane F939? On a Turnigy 9X module (FlySky) the motor goes to full speed for a couple of seconds, I'm thinking that this might not happen with your module, right?
- Is the code open source?

Thanks, Pascal

yes V2 will work with V1,,I have also V1 no problem.Now the code have random iD so it shouldn't interfere with others.Yes it is with autobind.
Don't know about airplane F939 but you can try....If going full throtle code can be modfied.

If you are still looking for people, I'd be interested in one.
