Thanks Dave, I was being a bit thick there. This would make it a very suitable vintage model under our rules. 1937 give it lots of age bonus. The clarkY ish section will work well and we can use ailerons, at least for now. It will make a lovely scale subject too. The best of all worlds. I think I have found my next project!
Thanks Planeman.

PD1, could you send those Fairchild scans to Planeman so he can put them here as PDF files for download? Thanks!

I have sent them to Planeman. If he hasn't had time to post, I will still answer all requests for plans.

Bandit from the October 1949 Flying Models

My brother Ralph ran across this neat sport model. It was designed by Don McGovern and a version later became a Berkeley kit. I am planning to build one some time in the not too distant future and thought others may be interested in the plan. I have cleaned up the full size plan that was included in the magazine article. The article and cleaned up plan are included here.

Hi All,

First time on this thread. It is beyond belief!!! Just great!!!

Would anyone by chance have the plans and printwood for the Berkeley C/L Grumman F8F "Bearcat"? Would a post of it be possible?

Thanking all for the trip down memory lane,
Henry
