Nice! Although I think twin 90's on 6S would be plenty of power

...do you still keep my "wishlist" in mind santa Egor?

(do you need coordinates for the NACA 5515 and NACA 5513?)

Fuselage:
  • wall thickness: 10mm
  • room for 3 10mm tubes at left/right bottom corner and top of cross section (see picture)

Wing:
  • NACA5515 from center line to begin of taper
  • NACA5515 at root of tapered section
  • NACA5513 at wingtip
  • wall thickness: 7mm
  • 10mm wide "spar" at 33% of length
  • "massive" trailing edge beginning at 66% of length

Horizontal and Vertical tail:
  • NACA0009
  • wall thickness: 5mm
  • 5mm wide "spar" at 33% of length
  • "massive" trailing edge beginning at 66% of length

Armament:
please design the bombs and rockets as hollow shells with a wall thickness of 5mm - or the bird will be much too heavy to fly with full ordinance
Please do not model the fins - wasted time - these are better made of cardboard, thin ABS or GfK or even Balsa.

I guess you will sell more kits if you offer the weapons-kit seperately. Scale is 1/8 (1/10; 1/12) which is common - so the weapons kit can be used for other planes as well. I would buy at least one more for my FlyFly Hawk and my two HobbyTopgun L-39's
  • Station 1: ECM-Pod (AN/ALQ-184)
  • Station 2: empty, 1x CBU-100 MK20, single or double AIM-9 - whatever you want
  • Station 3: 3x Maverick AGM-64 (triple Launcher)
  • Station 4: 1x GBU-10 Paveway_II
  • Station 5: 6x dispenser with 6x MK-82
  • Station 6: empty
  • Station 7: 6x dispenser with 6x MK-82
  • Station 8: 1xGBU-8
  • Station 9: 3x Maverick AGM-64 (triple Launcher)
  • Station 10: empty, 1x CBU, single or double AIM-9 - whatever you want
  • Station 11: ECM-Pod

Version:
Would it be possible to add a second canopy to build a YA-10B alternatively?

Summary Optional weapons-kit:
I guess you will sell more kits if you offer the weapons-kit seperately. Scale is 1/8 (1/10; 1/12) which is common - so the weapons kit can be used for other planes as well.
(I would buy at least one more for my two FlyFly Hawk's and my two HobbyTopgun L-39's )

The weapons kit should include:
2x ECM-Pod AN/ALQ-184
6x AGM-65_Maverick on 2x triple launchers (launchers not necessarily included because they are hard to build and too fragile if made out of foam)
12x MK82 for 2x 6-dispensers (dispensers also not made out of foam)
1x GBU-8
1x GBU-10 Paveway II
2x CBU-100 or 2x AIM-9 or 4x AIM-9 on double launcher (4xAIM-9 maybe best option if the kit is used for other planes)

modeling:
please design the bombs and rockets as hollow shells with a wall thickness of 5mm - or the bird will be much too heavy to fly with full ordinance
Please do not model the fins - wasted time - these are better made of cardboard, thin ABS or GfK or even Balsa.

Hello Egor,

if (still) possible: do you think you can let design the nacelles like shown in the attachment?
It uses a foam tube (which houses the ESC) to reduce outlet area without narrowing the outer diameter of the nozzle.
The diameters are calculated to result in an outlet area which is equivalent to a nozzle diameter of ~100mm which is recommended by ejets for the JetFan 120mm eco.

Rear part of the nacelle is designed as hollow shell - A-10 will be hugely tail heavy - so every single gram saved in the tail will save several grams in the nose

hi mr UD
Good!
we make changes.
I think, to make two decisions.
1. straight pipe
2. bent pipe
Our 3D model is ready, we will soon begin to prepare the file for CNC
Best Regards, Egor

Mr UD, where did you get that picture of the nacelle cutaway? is there some A-10 kit that has flew under my radar?

Egor, any chance of an isometric view from the front and solid rather than wireframe?

Did the drawing on my own to clarify my wishes

@Egor: any idea already about the cost? Maybe there might be enough in my wallet for one more plane at your black Friday sale

hi Amigob!
now we are nesting components. it is very time consuming.
and only then, after work of CNC machine, I would say, the final weight of the model.
now it is not known.
but traditionally, we will maximize lighter and robust model.
Best Regards, Egor
