i am working on it but it hard to find photo of the real ferry with her rear stern door down. I like the idea of one of thoes revell 1:87 scale rc trucks coming out of the back of her at a show.

Hi cos918
On the upper deck of cars, the back row looks like a row of Mini's... The proper one's, not the BMW small car...
Do i spy a couple of Vans, at least one pick up and a... woody?

Ghost has recently done a lowering 'lift' for a mini submarine on the back of his (re) build

Perhaps something similar in operation could be used to lower the rear door on your Celestine...

hi all and thanks for the repplys. OK toesup yes you are right they are orignal minis made by cararama at 1:72 scale and she is 1:100 scale a little out but they give a nice idea of what she should be like.
The door is one resine casting 22cms tall and 23 cms wide. I am making the hinge out of brass for strength. As for ghost lifting frame i have seen it on a diffrent forum. The problem i have is the photo of her are poor and its hard to tell if the door is lifted by cabels or hydrolics .

hi all. Well heres an update. First the base was made up from brass this gave a good strong point on the ferry for the hinge. Second the rear hinge was made up from brass 21 parts oh joy. Third made the top hinge that sits on top of the rear door. Fourth started on the hydrolic rams. Next job is to make a linear actuator to push the ram any idea are welcome .

Looks like a nice heavy duty hinge.

How about RC trucks?

Looks like most others are out of stock.

SDP-SI will have rack and pinions.
Look under Gears > Racks
https://sdp-si.com/eStore/
A modified servo, or sail winch could drive the pinion, and then the rack attached to the ramp rams.

I used an extended servo arm and control horn for my ramp.

that looks awesome i think the best thing to do would be to use a gear on each side w/ a sail winch like umi said another idea might be to use a normal servo like a steering servo or something and just have the hydraulic arms look like real ones thats what one guy did and it looked really real then all u need is some cars to drive on and off. and what did u make the door out of is it foam????
