I have to agree Gaz. I am a long time NON-beleiver in gear on EDF, but this sucker is so big, it just screams for gear.

BTW.. There are no pockets for the elevator servos in the Hor stabs. There is also no holes in the fuse to run push rods. You will have to be creative. Luckely, I ran into this situation with the HK 70mm version. Here's how I did it.

LOL, just read your review on the HK site for this!!

On my SAPAC Viper, it used pushrods to an ele servo - ele & rudd servos were mounted on a ply tray installed between the intake ducting, just behind the canopy. There's every chance this kit is based on the SAPAC model so strange they haven't fitted pushrods/exits in the fuz per that design.

I'm a fan of direct linkages though so might consider letting them into the surfaces too, will see how the balance goes as I build.

Hey V !!!!1

I remember from the intro video that Scott said that it had dual elevator servo on the stab.

it's worth checking to see if their is a perforation or cut-out under the covering. J

Good stuff! Then your next question should be... What is the dimention of the Hor stab at the root, so I can select a servo that will fit? Whell! Since you asked Gaz Its 15mm exact. Remember to leave some fudge room. So your looking at around 12.5mm-ish.

So the build is the same as the jet teng VJ on the H-stabs. I'm glad you are doing this first. You should be ready to maiden on the weekend ?

LOL, looked like you build the servos into the tails, then cut pockets in the fuz, whereas the JT has the servos mounted to the fuz - maybe an easier mod that way? TBH I prefer driving a control surface from the middle, but I'm sure this'll be just fine.
