what do you guys use to balance Large spinners

Hello
I have purchased a large Xoar Aluminum spinner thinking that it would be of good quality unfortunately it's way out of balance and wants to shake my Mustang to bits
My question is what do you guys use to balance large spinners I have a Du-bro prop balancer but it's too small for this spinner...Any advice / Idea's will be much appreciated

I use my homemade large prop balancer. It's made from 1/2" square tube and 5/16" threaded rod. It has 2 rare earth magnets on the end and a prop centering shaft from a smaller tool I bought. I can 24" props on this... I simply put weight on the end and hang the business end off the work table. Balance your spinner back plate by drilling large diameter hole(s) partially through it on the heavy end.

In theory here's how I'd do it. Balance the spinner and prop together as one assembly. Rotate spinner around on backplate so it's least badly out of balance then figure out if you can remove some material from heavy side of backplate or add weight to light side of the assembly. Mark then with a sharpie pen along the edge so they'll assembled back right on the plane.

It's probably not too clear in the above link:

The cones hold the backplate only, the spinner dome is attached to the backplate (use a little tape) so the Dubro shaft length is adequate
I'm currently balancing a 150mm Bf-109 spinner this way, if you want I can post some pics

you can get a miniature hobby lathe for about $150 with electric motor, belt drive, fits on a
12"X12" board, but as a machinist I use the big ones.
