Gygax,
If you bought the iMax without the 240 Volt (built in) power supply, then you'll need a 12 Volt, 5 Amp laptop power supply.
Most laptop units are suitable. I should think, but watch what voltage they put out.
Some need 19.x volts & may blow the unit.

Here's the specs of the iMax....

Input Voltage: 11~18v DC.
Circuit power: Max Charge: 50W / Max Discharge: 5W
Charge Current Range: .1~5.0A
Discharge current range: .1~1.0A
Ni-MH/NiCd cells: 1~15
Li-ion/Poly cells: 1~6
Pb battery voltage: 2~20v
Weight: 580g
Dimensions: 133x87x33mm

& re; your suss mis-matched Li-Ion batteries, the iMax will probably be able to recover them.
Run them through a couple of balanced charge cycles & see how they go.

Binding 9x to V912 pcb

Check out Mdigiouvabc's post # 233 in the WLToys V912 mini-review in the Micro Heli forum.

Apparently the 9X can be bound to the V912's pcb. That is really great news!

Nice work, Nicke! That last photo of your charger makes it look like it came from the factory that way. It's really nice to have another mod-happy 9116 owner here on the board.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I would ask our resident expert Bair 14 about that Walkera before before you buy it. I seem to recall a post of his where he said the 02 was junk, but the 01 was ok.

Some testing in the wind today, the flybar mod (50mm overall movement) was a complete disaster. My poor heli bit the dust bad twice ultimately stripping the tail gear but otherwise fine. The breeze was prob 5-10 mph and while the flybar mod was great for indoor hovering it was hopeless outside. A slight breeze would send it into an uncontrollable death dive with no hope of recovery. I managed to get a couple of extra flights before the tail gave out with the std head and although a handful, it sat level and flew as per normal.

So one more mod for the waste basket, but you never know if you dont have a go.
