I was looking at that. I like it looks more like a Gyrocopter.

I finally flew mine after many new blades. Using rudder an countering with aileron is the trick for me at least in the interim. All I can say it is practice practice practice and most importantly dont give up. When mastered it is satisfying to fly. Now its the Burky

I am building mine from a plan. It is made out of depron and uses a hobby king cierva head. Very easy to build. Mine is just about finished. Plenty of information on these forums. I got my plan from Cool winds.

I got my Burky back in the air earlier this week. Always gives me a big grin.

About the Auto G2 motor, now; mine has a very peculiar tendency to "seize up" after running. Before the run, the motor will spin freely. Afterwards, it will turn, but with effort. Now the strange part is that after some time as elapsed, maybe half an hour or so, the dragginess disappears and it can turn freely again. I'm thinking the pole pieces are becoming temporarily magnetized...bad lot of iron? Has anyone else run into this?

That's perfectly normal--it's a function of the esc storing electricity in the capacitors for a while.

I have experienced the same thing with planes from FMS. The capacitors in the ESC seem to hold a charge for a short time. It is nothing to worry about and goes away after short time, Try installing a new lipo and the motor should run properly.

The thought had flitted through my brain that it could be the capacitors...and I just now checked...and it seems to be so. I ran the motor for a few seconds, then disconnected two of the motor leads. Stickiness vanished. So much for my idea about the pole pieces! Thanks!
