Monitor LO frequency using scanner

Anyone has any idea whether a wideband scanner, e.g. Icom IC R5 can detect a receiver's (TV or radion receiver) local oscillator (LO) frequency at remote distances of 10 metres or more?

Anyone who has a scanner, please try to lock onto, say, 10.7 MHz for an FM receiver or 455 KHz for an AM receiver, and find out for me from how far the scanner can detect the LO. I am in corner of the earth where i cant get them to test before purchasing.
