How about the ExceedRC motors?
I'm pretty new to RC and REALLY new to electric flight (other than park flyers). I'm converting a .40 size glow plane to electric using the ExceedRC Monster Power 46 which was sold by Nitroplanes.com. They no longer carry it.
Basically, don't really know much about the motor. I'm going to probably run on 4s (which I think is recommended) and 70A. With any luck I think finished weight should be around 4.5-5.0 lbs. It may even be less. Haven't weighed it yet because I haven't bought batteries or a prop yet.
Any suggestions on prop size?
Also, any experience with this motor handling 5s or 6s?

I run a 12X6 or 13X6 prop with a 5s 5000mah battery on a 60 amp ESC
If you use a 4s battery,
13X6 prop give about 80 ounces of thrust
13X8 gives 100 ounces.
14X8 give 116 ounces of thrust.
Here is the calc program
Use the eflite motors. The Monster Power 46 is a copy of the eflite motor.
