Layman's Guide to FPV Antennas

There are a lot of misconceptions out there about antennas and how they work on our video transmitters and receivers. With so many options like dipole, circular polarized, helical, and other antenna types, you better know how they work so don't end up using the wrong gear and make a mess of your video feed. The video below explains antennas in non-engineer wording and even shows us the antenna patterns in 3D space. It's extremely helpful to visualize these patterns and you'll also learn about diversity and what gain really means. This knowledge will come in handy when selecting your FPV gear. Enjoy.

Hi Jason

I have learnt a lot from that video years ago when I 1st started to study FPV before my 1st build .... it is a must and considered the ABC of understanding antennas and how they work

Thanks for bringing that up again

Have a good day

Khaled
