servos for 100mph

im building a high speed wing capable of 100mph+ and maby even 200 mph in high altitude dives.

my question is how strong of a servo do i need? and what size? does a 2.5kg servo sound right?

thanks

Depends on the size of the surfaces.

Assuming smallish surfaces due to the speed, you won't go wrong with hyperion DS09's.

You need to watch centering just as much as torque. If your surface wont center at that speed your going to have fun...

I'm using D60s in this wing: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1392764
It goes about 170mph (with some prop tuning not reported in that thread).

You need centering, torque is not important. Deflection for normal flight is minimal, perhaps +/-1mm max.
And you really need to watch flutter: stiff and light ailerons, linkages spanwise in the center of the ailerons, short ailerons etc
