RC EYE NovaX 350 (brushless) by RC Logger- Discussion, updates etc

If you ever would have the chance to design your very own and personal multi-rotor, tell us what top 3 features are most important for you. Please try to limit your answer to 3 features (the top most important features you would want to expect from a multirotor). Well, in case you mention 5 its okay too

1. DO NOT make a one piece body like the Blade QX 350 or Phantom, any minor crash with those and you are replacing the whole body, stick with carbon fiber arms so you only need to replace the one that broke
2. Stick relativity, If I loose orientation ( and I will) I need a way to get it back home
3. Make it Spectrum TX compatible ( no OneLink needed)

Great idea, I look forward to seeing this

1: Stick relativity
2: I.P. camera (with >5 user support,AGPS and telemetry OSD)
3: Brushless motors

I'd like to see a system that could enable many users to view the same live flight from thier devices. :P

I see that stick relativity or 'carefree' mode as I believe it's called in the east is a recurring choice so far..From teaching many people to fly my quads , I see that rudder or 'yaw' is the main screwer of heads..Once the point of forward reference is gone , most peoples brain tries to leap out of thier ear as the quad literally flies in the wrong direction to them.

You guys are going to break the bank for me.

If it's going to be a 350-400 size here are my desires:

1. Multi part frame. As mentioned by others it creates easy access and fairly easy to change out parts. the Phantom and new HH 350 look cool but being a shell causes need for a complete replacement and also creates major limitation in lipo size. Something that pops on top for looks is fine, but not entirely encased in a shell.

2. 10 minute flight time when fully loaded (meaning 200g gimbal, 70g gopro, Landing Gear and FPV Tx) is the magic number.

3. Foldable (or quick release) landing gear and also folding arms. This is where you'd be in a new category as many are purchasing the smaller sized quads for ease of transport.

4. Auto stop blades. I know you said three but you guys already have this one on the Xtreme and I feel it's something that should be added to all larger RC equipment.

I know every time you guys come to the table you start with a clean slate so as always think outside the box and don't be stuck to the materials that everyone else is already using.

For those of you with concern about tx compatibility and such, I would assume that you'll be able to put whatever rx you'd like on this size quad, so you're not going to be limited in that department. If RC Logger has gone so far as to add PPM to the mini sized Xtreme then I would highly doubt you'd be stuck with a certain protocol on something this size.

My turn! My turn!

1. Capable of inter galactic travel.
2. Minimum 4 day flight times.
3. Lift capability of 2 entire racks of ribs, and also a 12 pack of beer.
4. Capable of flying via mind control
5. MSRP - $30.00

Totally attainable right!?

At RC Logger we thrive on innovation. The challenge is to be out of the box here. Some real world examples of doing something unique without spilling all the beans for the competition to gobble up -

1. No more booms - motors - or props showing up in the video I am capturing with my GO PRO
2. How about a feature that knows to come back and land when my battery is low, and I don't do anything about it?
3. Detect and avoid?

Just a few crazy idea's - Anyone else?

If Phantom, Blade 350QX like quads(sub $500 range) are targeted:
1) Incorporate the best proven features of competition.
2) Programmable
3) 15 mins flight time with a 3S 2200mah battery while carrying a HD camera and FPV gear.

If a sub $250 quad is targeted:
1) Up scaled Xtreme included all lessons learned
2) Incorporate the best proven features of the Blade 350QX that fit the price mark.
3) 15 mins flight time with a 3S 2200mah battery while carrying a HD camera and FPV gear.

Are you nuts quad:
1) Fail safe panic button
2) Reliable fail safe autopilot (programmable flight routes)
3) 15 mins flight time with a 3S 2200mah battery while carrying a HD camera and FPV gear
4) $300 price mark

1. Non-proprietary Motors, Props, and ESCs
2. Long flight duration (15 - 20 minutes+ with camera(s))
3. FPV Ready with GENERIC camera mount designed for Video Camera + FPV Cam (Not GOPRO Specific!)

I have more, but you said only 3 for now

Pricing - competitive with Phantom and Blade 350 QX

Sorry, if it can't carry at least a case I'll pass. I think you should be shooting for at least a quarter keg...

Wow - Just one night of sleep and so much good feedback. If you have something to add, just don't hesitate. We will start to share information towards end of October.

1. Receiver ready option
2. 3 modes - similar to 'safe' mode, 6-axis mode, 'youfly' mode
3. Looks different from all other quads, including my Eye One Xtreme - oh wait, I can't get one yet!
